Summary of this DVD... | ||
This is a series about a political force who is the mayor of Chicago. All his relationships are phoney (as most politicians are) and his daughter is a drug addict kept hidden from the public. There is a lot of violence and drug use. We watched the first two episodes and found it was not for us. Kelsey Grammar is convincing as the ruthless mayor, but I was looking for a little humor in this and found none. It made me kind of sick, to be honest.
I especially liked... | ||
Connie Nielsen as the mayor's wife. Her phoney demeanor reminded me of some of our First Ladies. She is good at hiding it, but she is at least as ruthless as her husband, the mayor.
I didn't like... | ||
the drug use and violence without any humor.
This DVD made me feel...
nauseated. | ||
I don't recommend this DVD because...
because it is not my cup of tea. I liked Sopranos though and the differene was the balance of humor that was there in spite of the drug use and violence. I also HATE jerky camera work. Absolutely hate it and I think it is a gimmick.
