Summary of this DVD... | ||
This is the story of a World War I era Chorus girl who falls in love with an Irish Flyer/Inventor. On the night of their wedding he is shot in front of her. She thinks he is dead and flees. Later she falls in love with a French Hero fighter and discovers he is unfaithful to her with the woman who shot her first husband. Then she finds out the first husband, who really loved her, is alive.
This type of DVD is good for...
anyone who enjoys Jean Harlow. This co-stars Cary Grant as the French flyer guy. He is weird.
I especially liked... | ||
Jean Harlow, as always. She is a bit different in this one - sort of wholesome and trusting, which is quite a change.
I didn't like... | ||
Franchot Tone's fake Irish accent. It was weird as was Cary Grant's fake French accent.
When I finished viewing this DVD I wanted to...
watch more vintage films. Sure beats watching things about politics today.
I recommend this DVD because...
if you like vintage films of Jean Harlow, this is a good one toward the end of her life/career. Unfortunately she passed away at the age of 26.
