Summary of this DVD... | ||
This is a Woody Allen directed movie about a writer who wants to live in Paris. He goes there with his fiance and finds a way to go back in time at Midnight every night. During his sojourns, he meets Hemingway, the Fitzgeralds, Gertrude Stein, Picasso and numerous painters. He also figures out that maybe the life he was living isn't the life he was meant to live.
This type of DVD is good for...
anyone who is interested in Paris of the 1920's.
I especially liked... | ||
Hemingway and Gertrude Stein.
I didn't like... | ||
This is usually my hangup with Woody Allen movies. He forces the main male character to act like Woody Allen acts. So, this is Owen Wilson acting like Woody Allen so in my head I am picturing Woody Allen. It is kind of disconcerting.
The cast of this DVD... | ||
is really good. They are convincing as the writers and painters I am familiar with.
I recommend this DVD because...
it is a good story. If you can get past the Woody Allen as the lead thing then it is good. I sort of got past it after the first half hour.
