This is Pulitzer Prize winning author, Bob Woodward's non fiction effort about the lack of leadership on both sides of the political aisle during the debt ceiling negotiations in the Summer of 2011. It is a scary book, to be sure. No one really has a clue except Secretary Geitner and Joe Biden. They come of well and as trying to do the best for the country. The rest, including Speaker Boehner and President Obama come off as lacking in common sense and leadership. Reelection trumps any concern for the country on both sides. Disgusting!

anyone who doubts that D.C. is dysfunctional because of the so-called leadership of both parties.

like the country is in real peril in a crisis. I hope we don't have any more crises like this, but with this outfit in D.C., it will be inevitable.

knows what he is doing and is thorough and fair. I think he is a Democrat, but unlike the stupid networks and newspapers, he is not in anyone's pocket. He is equally tough on Boehner and Obama.

if you want to know why D.C. never gets anything done and how many lies they tell, this is an informative book. I will never believe or fall for another sack of lie filled political ad in my life. These guys have no conscience, principles and no soul. Disgusting!
