Summary of this Book...
Five children meet on the first day of kindergarten and become friends forever. The book follows their journeys through divorces, death and devastation as their world gradually crumbles around them. This is not an uplifting book. It was hard to read for a myriad of reasons, one of which is that I recently lost someone close to me. I didn't enjoy it like I usually enjoy Danielle Steel. It was too depressing.
I didn't like... | ||
the drug overdose stuff and the suicide stuff. I just didn't.
The author of this Book...
is a great storyteller.
I don't recommend this Book because...
I was sick when I read it and feeling down and it made me feel worse about life. Usually her books are comforting. This one was kind of a shock. I didn't care for it.
Further Comments... | ||
I still like Danielle Steel. I probably shouldn't have read this book, but someone recommended it, probably forgetting about what I'd been through. It made me feel sad.
