Summary of this Book...
A man dies in an accident that is suspicious. He has a lot of secrets and knows a lot of other people's secrets. So, an investigation is called for and Scotland Yard's Detective Thomas Lynley comes into the mix with his helpers. The title is so wonderful because there is more than one lie that is believed and acted upon here. This is a very intricate and complicated plot that kept me interested all the way through.
This type of Book is good for...
I had never read any of Ms. George's books before, but I didn't need to. This is a series and this book made me want to start at the beginning and read more.
I especially liked... | ||
the way it all ties together at the end. It is a long book - 608 pages, but I was interested and the last 100 pages were page turners. I couldn't put it down at that point.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
read more in the series starting at the beginning and I will soon.
This Book made me feel...
excited to find a current writer that I enjoy. Plus, she has written a lot already so I don't have to wait a long time to read more of her work.
The author of this Book...
knows how to create characters that are interesting and make the reader want to read and know more.
I recommend this Book because...
I would say it is one of the best mysteries I have ever read. I would have to put it up there with the best of Sue Grafton's work. It took me by surprise and held my interest all the way until the end. I will not give her plot away though.
