A man and woman meet over the internet while both are involved in blah relationships. They meet in real life too and have a business clash, but do not at first realize that they are the same people. Tom Hanks character, Joe Fox, finds out about Meg Ryan early on. He owns a big book store that is threatening to drive her Book Shop Around the Corner out of business. It is a romantic remake of an old classic with an internet twist.

nostalgic for NY before 9/11. This movie captured something that doesn't exist anymore. It was filmed in the mid 1990's.

I at first didn't like the movie when it came out. I loved Sleepless in Seattle so much that I think I had a prejudice against it. I saw it on TV a few weeks ago and ordered the DVD. I can't stop watching it - it is wonderful. I love the setting and the story and the cast. Everything about the movie is wonderful.

I must have been in a bad mood when I first saw it at the movie theatre. Maybe the popcorn was bad or something. I was WRONG in my first reaction to this wonderful movie.
