Summary of this Book...
An ideal book for writers. Although primarily intended for movie lovers, the book is also most useful as a resource book for authors, poets and journalists. Having trouble thinking up a great title for your book and/or interesting names for your characters? This book will solve all your problems. And Amazon's Kindle edition is only 99 cents!
This type of Book is good for...
authors, writers, journalists, movie lovers.
I especially liked... | ||
the photos, but that's just me. They're not going to be much help if you're looking for catchy titles and names.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
change some of the sterile names in the novel I'm writing to names with more reader appeal. And maybe the title of my novel itself needs to be more emphatic. For example, this book lists no fewer than 40 titles beginning with "My". Movie titles are deliberately designed to attract attention and induce people to part with their money. Here's "My Darling Clementine". My lead character is a girl called Rose Mallory. My present title is "Live for Tomorrow". Yet among the thousands and thousands of titles in this book, there are none at all starting with the word, "Live". It's obviously a word with no sales appeal. A far superior title would obviously be "My Darling Rose".
The author of this Book...
has no doubt done a superb job for movie lovers; but for writers, he's provided an invaluable handbook. Click on the Amazon link and then search "Hollywood Classics Title Index" in the Amazon Kindle Store for the 99-cent Kindle edition. This book is also available for 99 cents at NOOK, iPad, Apple, etc.
