Summary of this Book...
In this mystery, Mario Conde, the protagonist ex-cop turned writer, investigates the mystery of a corpse, belonging to an FBI agent shot in Finca Vigia belonging to Ernest Hemingway in Cuba after forty years of the incident. His aim is to find who shot the man. Was it Hemingway himself or someone else? To do this, he interviews people who had worked for Hemingway and are still alive. The suspense throughout the story is a slow though well-paced one. The estate of Hemingway and the mention of other writers who were his contemporaries are non-fiction compared to the detective Fuentes's fictional character.
