Summary of this Book...
This is the autobiography of Teddy Kennedy, the youngest of the Kennedy brothers who passed away in 2009.
This type of Book is good for...
anyone who is interested in Mr. Kennedy's personal perspective on historical events and personalities.
I especially liked... | ||
his loyalty. It is steadfast and true.
I didn't like... | ||
the partisan tone, but at least it is consistent with what I know about him.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
read more about his family. They interest me, especially the children of Joseph P. Kennedy.
This Book made me feel...
like I know Senator Kennedy a little bit better.
The author of this Book...
is someone I encountered in real life when I was a Senate Intern for a Senator in the Russell Office Building. I witnessed some post-Chappaquidick behaviors that were quite shocking to me.
I recommend this Book because...
it is interesting from a historical perspective. He does a good job and is a much better writer than most politicians. It was interesting reading.
Further Comments... | ||
I think there is some stuff here that is a lot of bull, but mostly it seems to be an accurate perspective on history. Some of the stuff does not ring true in light of what I personally saw, but whatever. Maybe it is his truth. I think he worked hard as a Senator and did what he thought was right in terms of his work and maybe even his personal life, toward the end of it. He is a complicated individual.
