This is a history book that reads like an action packed thriller. It is the story of the 12 day chase to capture those involved with President Lincoln's assasination. It is fascinating.

anyone interested in the history of the first Presidential assasination and its aftermath.

the way the author dealt with what was going on at the same time. I really got a feeling for what it might have been like.

The author of this Book...
makes John Wilkes Booth seem more human than I had seen him before. He is a villain, to be sure, but this gave me more insight into why he did what he did.
I recommend this Book because...
it is interesting to read about the conspiracy and what a bunch of bunglers were involved. If you have any interest in President Lincoln's assasination, this is a great book to read. It is fast paced and I didn't find it boring in the least.
