This is the first in the series about Detective Michael Bennett, the father of ten adopted children. In this first novel, Dectective Bennett deals with the killing of a former First Lady and a hostage situation involving the most well known celebrities in the country.

anyone who enjoys fast paced suspense. I like Michael Bennett a lot better than most of the Alex Cross stuff.

the way the authors deal with the illness and death of Michael's wife, Maeve. I read the latest one in the series first and then went back and this one really tells me a lot about the characters.

read the next in the series, which I believe is Run For Your Life.

It is two authors and they know how to tell a story and create interesting characters.

it is a fast paced, enjoyable read. I read it while I was sitting and waiting at jury duty.
