Summary of this DVD... | ||
This is a documentary about the lottery to get into a charter school in New York. It deals with how Teachers Unions and ACORN have been working to fight schools where kids really get a chance to learn. This film follows the fate of 4 families who are trying to get their kids into the school for Fall 2009.
This type of DVD is good for...
anyone who wants to see ACORN in action. They bus in demonstrators to harass anyone who goes against the union.
I especially liked... | ||
the fact that they let us know what happens with all the kids.
When I finished viewing this DVD I wanted to...
yell at the President for ever being in any way associated with that slimy group, ACORN.
This DVD made me feel...
mad at how our tax dollars are wasted and how entrenched and thuggish the unions are.
The cast of this DVD... | ||
are real people in Harlem.
I recommend this DVD because...
it is an eye opener about the state of the education system in NY and what the Charter Schools are doing (away from the stupid unions) to really educate children. It is nice to see some parents care more about their kids then they do about preserving the union status quo. Some of the parents in this are unbelievably ignorant (the opposition to the charter schools)
