This is the story of a quirky family that supports a little girl's desire to compete in the Miss Sunshine contest a long ways away. They jump in their defective yellow VW Bus and travel from Albuquerque to Redondo Beach, L.A. to pursue her dream and mayhem ensues.

anyone who enjoys quirky comedies and fun performances. It is obvious that the cast had a lot of fun with this one.

Steve Carrell, surprisingly enough. I usually do not like him. Oh, and Alan Arkin is HILARIOUS as grandpa!

Toni Collette. I do not know why, but her performance wasn't on the level of the rest of the cast.

it is amusing and highly entertaining. It was a good way to pass the time.

I wouldn't rank this highly, but it was amusing to me. I was a bit disappointed by the ending. I wanted something a bit stronger at the end, but I'm not sure what would have suited me. The ending they used and the althernates presented on the DVD were kind of blah.
