the plot - I thought it was kind of dumb in hindsight.

is good. Kevin Bacon is always someone I enjoy. I liked Chris Penn and John Lithgow too. The weak link cast-wise is Lori Singer. I can see why she didn't do much else.

If you like Kevin Bacon and want to see how he looked early on in his career, this is probably something you might enjoy. I'm not sure that he did all of his own dancing though from the camera angles used. Still, it is mildly entertaining and not a total waste of time.
