all of it. It was interesting to read of a time when Vets actually made house calls for dogs. Not too much of that these days. | ||

like I would like to read more about the breed of dog I have, which is the Bassett Hound. There were beagles and hound mixes but alas, no bassetts. | ||

I found this to be a very interesting and heartwarming collection of stories about the dogs Mr. Herriot treated and had great affection for over the years. I had the old version of the book that was published in the U.K. in 1986. | ||
