Summary of this Book...
This is the autobiography of the famous American journalist, Barbara Walters. She has interviewed almost every celebrity over the past 50 years. It is fascinating to read her insights.
This type of Book is good for...
anyone who wants to know what celebrities and politicians are really like.
I especially liked... | ||
the part about Al Gore being unpleasant. It sure fits with what I have learned about him lately. It is funny that the ones you expect her to like (like Al Gore and Clinton), she doesn't. But she liked Nixon and George W. Bush as people. Interesting.
I didn't like... | ||
the part about her sister. Even though this is part of who she is, I sort of felt like it was a violation of her sister's privacy.
The author of this Book...
does a good job of sharing her memories and of analyzing and bringing insight into puzzling situations. I am not sure I always agree with her, but she supports her views with facts.
I recommend this Book because...
it is a fast, fascinating read and peek into the life of one of the pioneers of women reporters in America. I am not a big fan of hers, but I enjoyed reading this more than I thought I would.
