Summary of this Book...
This is another Kinsey Milhone Mystery. A young man solicits her services as a Private Detective when he has a flash of a memory about what he interprets as two guys burying a body more than 20 years ago.

The story takes place in 1988 and in the 1960s and 50s. It switches effortlessly from third person to first person as Kinsey tells her story.
This type of Book is good for...
anyone who in enjoys a good, intricate mystery that all comes together at the end.
I especially liked...
the way Kinsey slowly is discovering what happened in her own family history while she solves cases.
I didn't like...
the way it all wrapped up so suddenly at the end. I would have liked more explanation in a gradual way instead of the sudden discovery that happens.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
read another in the Sue Grafton alphabet series. I cannot wait for "V"!
This Book made me feel...
like I had to keep reading once I got deep into it. It was one I literally did not pub down for the last 250 pages. Getting into it was a bit slower, but I read 250 pages in 2 days, which is a lot for me.
The author of this Book...
knows how to tell a story and how to bring a lot of elements together for a sensible resolution. It is can't wait to read more type of reading once you get into the mystery and intrigue of it.
I recommend this Book because...
it is a good old fashined mystery. It takes place in the 1980s which is by far my favorite decade so far. Everything big happened for me in the 1980s and I can relate to this time as a setting. It is pre-internet and pre mass cell phone usage. Kinsey uses typewriter and carbons.
Further Comments...
Sue Grafton has steadily improved in her storytelling over the years. She weaves an intricate tale that is full of colorful and memorable characters. The violence and action makes perfect sense in the context of all that happens.

Her books are very well written and I cannot wait for the next in the series!
