Summary of this DVD... | ||
This DVD is about the Royal Family's reaction and initial lack of reaction to Diana's shocking death in 1997. The public outcry forced the Queen of England to bend to the will of her brand new Prime Minister, Tony Blair.
This type of DVD is good for...
Tony Blair's image. | ||
I especially liked... | ||
Helen Mirren in the title role. She is a dead ringer for Queen Elizabeth.
I didn't like... | ||
the overly sympathetic portrayal of that louse, Prince Charles. I do not believe it for an instant.
When I finished viewing this DVD I wanted to...
see a biography that focuses the attention on Princess Diana.
This DVD made me feel...
sad that Diana had to come back and have this crowd handle her final tribute.
The cast of this DVD... | ||
is alright. Mirren is outstanding and the rest are caricatures.
I don't recommend this DVD because...
it is a love letter to Tony Blair. I like Tony Blair, but I not think he deserves all the credit bestowed on him by this film.
Further Comments... | ||
I loathe Prince Charles and am totally sympathetic to DIana and all that she endured. I believe she was killed by the press hounding and chasing her. The fact that she did not have a proper driver and bodyguards is the fault of the Royal Family, most particularly the Queen. I think they all are responsible for the loss and have to live with that for the rest of their lives.
