Summary of this Book...
This book deals with what happened behind the scenes of the 2008 Presidential Campaign in the United States. Its primary focus is on Hilary and Bill vs. Barack.
This type of Book is good for...
anyone who is interested in all that happened in the campaign that ended up bringing us Obama/Biden.
I especially liked...
how Hilary Clinton comes out in this. I actually found her reactions and behavior to be the most human of anyone's.
I didn't like...
the fact that President Obama is portrayed as arrogant as I suspected him to be. I was hoping to be proven wrong.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
maybe get Time Magazine again because one of these guys writes for Time Magazine. I got sick of their repetitive reporing over the past several years and switched to Business Week.
This Book made me feel...
like I am right in being an Independent. Neither one of these guys should have been President. It is almost like anyone who wants that job (especially now) is too nuts and egomaniacal to have it.
The author of this Book...
It is two authors. They did a good job and it seems realistic. No one has threatened to sue them so far, so I think it must be pretty accurate.
I recommend this Book because...
it is an enthralling read. I particularly like that they are fair to Sarah Palin. It isn't a love letter to her, but it is the most fair thing I have read in the media. None of the 4 candidates who ended up on the tickets were (in my opinion) qualified to be President.
Further Comments...
In my life there have been two great Presidents. Those were Clinton (despite his personal flaws) and Reagan (despite his intellectual limitations).

The worst one by far was Carter. That should tell you all that you need to know about how I feel. I am an independent and the Republicans and Democrats annoy me equally.

My father worked in the Executive Office of the President so I am familiar with how he felt about the ones before Clinton.
