Of the 78 poems selected from over 1,200 that Margaret left behind, only 7 or 8 have been previously published. That I find peace with you
and that you are, to my senses

some kind of miracle

Who could resist such verses?

"Po-et-Tree Blooos" but Margaret loved satirical songs of this sort, so I did include one of them!

enter some of my own poems in the $5,550 Margaret Reid Prize for Traditional Verse. I can write almost as well on similar topics, though I can't match her humorous or her political verses. But of course, as her executor, I'm disqualified.

glad to have known such a wonderful poet and to have experienced all the facets of her creativity at first hand.

made me desire to emulate her deep feeling and to write verse of a similar high standard.
