Summary of this Book...
In this follow up to "A Doorway to Hearts", author Sherri Gibson reintroduces readers to some familiar characters as well as introducing some new characters to love and/or hate. From beginning to end, the reader is taken on an emotional roller coaster while following the characters on their journeys through life. Emotion, action, and fantasy all come through clearly while the story unfolds.
This type of Book is good for...
Anyone who has read "A Doorway to Hearts" as well as anyone who enjoys Historical / Native American fiction --not to mention those who enjoy a little dash of fantasy!
I especially liked... | ||
The way in which Ms. Gibson is able to include so many storylines without creating confusion is wonderful. Her creativity really shines throughout this book as it comes to life before the reader's eyes. Beyond the amazing story, I was also awed by the way in which Ms. Gibson was able to include the Lakota language throughout the book with an easiness that enables the reader to understand every word without question or having to look anything up. I easily picked up a few terms while reading this which added to my pleasure as it added a special dash of education!
I didn't like... | ||
There were a few typos, but that's about all I can come up with for a dislike.

This Book made me feel...
Exactly! This book made me FEEL. I encountered happiness, pain, sadness, loneliness, and a hundred other emotions along with the characters. Tears of joy and tears of hurt both came out. I was also amazed at the way this book made me question the person I am; I found myself sitting back and just thinking, just looking into myself and my life at so many turns in this book. Much of this book sent me on my own journey of self-awareness --something that is indeed incredibly rare to experience from a work of fiction!
The author of this Book...
Sherri L. Gibson is an amazing woman and just an incredibly author! Her creativity and imagination know no bounds; her knowledge of the past and the Lakota is astounding! She created a world that none of us know and brought me right into it.
I recommend this Book because...
It is like transporting into another time and place --which, to me, is exactly what a book should do.
I don't recommend this Book because...
Unless you're too young or could be easily offended by the graphic nature of some scenes and storylines, I see no reason why you shouldn't read this book!
