This is the story of a group of women, all vying to rent an apartment that is much sought after. The book traces the backgrounds of each of the proposed renters, going back about twenty years or so.

People who enjoy romances that are set primarily in and near Ireland.

the description of the surroundings - Patrizia Scanlan does a great job with that.

the way the author jumped around with the timeline. I don't think she spent enough time with each one of the characters in order for the reader to keep them all straight.

I also felt that the ending was forced, abrupt and very unsatisfying. I felt like the author forced the ending.

take a break from reading Romance for a while.

got better with time. This is one of her earliest books, so from my experience with her, she got a lot better and moving through time later on in her writing.

it took me forever to read it. I felt like the ending didn't make sense in the context of all that went before it.

I have enjoyed everything else that I have read by Patricia Scanlan. This book took forever to read because it was so confusing with the time line. I was determined to read it this summer and so I did, but I didn't enjoy it, especially at the end.
