During the clash between the Hutus and Tutsis in Africa, there was one particularly brave man who stood up for what was right. Paul Rusesabagina, who originally just wanted to save his family, decides to create a safe haven for the Tutsis who were being massacred. However, things don't always go smoothly. Will Paul be able to save the Tutsis from this madness, this discrimination and division? Based on a true story.

This DVD is great for those who enjoy history and a real story. There are also moral issues about what is right and wrong.

I especially liked the fact that this movie shows the REAL side of what happened. It's gory, violent, and true to what happened during that time. The fact that one man stood against so much violence and oppression is amazing.

I wanted to thank the man who had actually done this during that time. The U.S. did not do a great deal to help those in Africa oppressed and affected by this situation. But one man, a native of Africa, did... and for that I am so thankful.

This DVD made me feel sad, happy, and angry throughout my viewing of it. There's so much to this film; it has a lot of dimension.

The cast did a great job at portraying what the time was like, as well as the fear, anger, and hate that these people felt.

I recommend this DVD because it's a true story, and historic. It's also extremely well done. To me, it'll always be a favorite.
