Summary of this Book...
This is Rachel's story. Raised in Ireland with four sisters and now living in New York she finds herself at an all time low when she has a drug overdose and her friends and family force her into rehab.
This type of Book is good for...
A good laugh and a good cry.
I especially liked... | ||
Marian's characters. They are realistic...everybody in there is somebody a reader either knows or can relate to. Her parodies and situations are hilarious but real. They act like people who have no inhibitions would act.
I didn't like... | ||
Marian tends to write in waves. There are lows in the book where you think 'just get on with it' but they do add suspense.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Jump for joy...Marian has this knack of building up a non-traditional story to a cheesy ending...and she gets away with it. She's a romantic at heart but she sneaks up and hits you with it at the last moment.
This Book made me feel...
Like crying and laughing at the same time! Marian makes you feel so close to her characters (maybe because they're written in first person) that you can't help feeling their emotion.
The author of this Book...
I love Marian Keyes. One minute you're laughing, the next she's got you enthralled in a colourful sex scene and the next you're bawling your eyes out.
I recommend this Book because...
Every woman should read at least one Marian Keyes book...you don't know what you're missing if you haven't.
I don't recommend this Book because...
If you don't like to laugh out loud while you're reading, or cry then don't read it.
