Summary of this Book...
The summary on the back of the book reads: Rule number one: never settle down. J.B. Hammock treated his women well, but with a no-strings detachment they gladly accepted. Until sweet Tellie Maddox began hovering around, caring about him. And when Tellie lost her memory, she believed she was J.B.'s friend. Even he couldn't be so heartless as to push Tellie aside, and so he played his role...until friendship turned into something deeper than a heartbreaker like J.B. had ever intended. Then Tellie's memory returned...
This type of Book is good for...
Books by Diana Palmer follow virtually the same formula each time, though each one carries it's own uniqueness. Her books are good curl-up-and-relax reads.
I especially liked... | ||
Something Palmer has always been able to do, for me at least, is make me cry. I love books that make me cry. The emotion and heartache that she portrays through her books are so powerful. Making those emotions real for your reader is a sign of true talent.
I didn't like... | ||
I didn't care for the fact that it follows the "Palmer Formula". J.B. was her usual hero: bitter, woman-hater, untrusting. Tellie was her usual heroine: innocent, sweet, naive, completely in love with hero despite all the hurt he'd put her through.
The author of this Book...
While Diana Palmer does use the same ingredients in each of her books, she manages to create such true emotion for her characters it makes up for it by a mile.
