Summary of this Video Game...
Disgaea 2 puts you in control of Adell, the last human left in the world. Sworn to defeat Overlord Zenon, the demon who turned everyone into demonoid monsters. When a summon goes wrong, calling forth instead Zenon's daughter, Adell must ventue on a quest to find and defeat Zenon with her in tow, while protecting her from harm. Why? Because that is just his style. Expect tongue-in-cheek humor, fourth wall breaking, and a touching plot delivered bilingually (Japanese or English) with masterful voice acting for almost every scene in the game. With a level cap of 9999, multiple endings, and a myriad of secrets, this game will have you playing for several months to see everything it has to offer.
This type of Video Game is good for...
Young Adults with a developed sense of humor.
I especially liked... | ||
How every time I played through, I found a new secret I had to keep from my friends until they caught up.
I didn't like... | ||
The repetitive grinding needed to reach the endgame (level 9999 plus "reincarnations"), the occasionally unskippable cutscenes, and the "no warning, you better hope you saved" twists that occur quite frequently.
When I finished playing this Video Game I wanted to...
Play it again for a different ending. Which, with the New Game+ option, wasn't painful at all!
This Video Game made me feel...
An odd love of conscience-free demons and semi-demons, and respect for the power of that love.
The creator of this Video Game...
Probably would have forgotten half of the secrets he left in.
I recommend this Video Game because...
The humor will keep you on the edge of the seat, waiting for the next punchline.
