A collection of witty essays written with a dry and sometimes sarcastic sence of humor. The stories David Sedaris tells have a funny way of hitting home with the reader while making them laugh at how completley ridiculous it all seems.

People who sometimes find themselves laughing at the wrong times. Great for readers who don't have long periods of time to sit down and really delve into a book because of it's short chapters.

The chapter titled "April in Paris" about Sedaris's fixation with the spiders living in his window frame. This chapter seemed like an excert right out of my own life.

That David Sedaris actually quits smoking by the end of this book, which means there is one less of us healthy folks who are carted off to smoking "bubbles" and outside in sub-zero tempratures to just get a few drags off of a quick smoke.

I laughed. And immediatly started the next book on my night stand. The book itself wasn't much to dwell on, but I wouldn't say it wasn't worth the read. It did make me laugh out loud quite a few times.

It did cheer me up, like the feeling you get when you walk out of a comedy club.

is a traitor to the pro-smoking movement.

It is a decent read and would actually make great bathroom reading material. As long as you don't mind people hearing you laughing on the toilet.

it's not something that's going to deeply impact your life. You're not going to walk away from it feeling enlightened or inspired. You'll laugh for a while then in a couple days you'll have forgotten about most of the book excpet for maybe a few parts that really made you split your seams laughing.
