C. Thomas Flood is only nineteen years old. He wakes up one night to discover that the woman of his dreams has killed him! Not exactly the way he had planned for their date to end. However, his girlfriend, a new vampire herself, only did it because she was lonely and needed a partner. Their love is genuine but wacky and quite funny. Both attempt to get rid of the head vampire responsible for transforming Jody (the beautiful red-headed vampire), but encounter a series of unfortunate events including escaping the clutches of two detectives who want them gone, Thomas's old buddies who have become vampire hunters, a teenage goth who seems determined to join the legion of the undead, and a Las Vegas showgirl painted Blue.

Those who like comedy, vampire stories and urban legends.

The language and tone of the story. It's light-hearted, casual and not your conventional vampire story. One of my favorite characters was Abby Normal, the 16 year old goth, whose diary entries are hilarious and capture the voice of hyperactive teenagers who are into 'the dead scene'.

The fact that this was actually a continuation of an earlier work of Moore's. Unfortunately, I picked this one up first, so the sudden thrust into the storyline threw me off a bit. It's still understandable as a read alone, but it would be best for you to read the first part of the tale 'Bloodsucking Fiends'

Slightly frustrated with the lead characters' decision in the end, but overall, it left me feeling pleased and still snickering long after the last page was turned.

If you loved 'Bloodsucking Fiends' or just cool, wacky vampire stories in general, you might appreciate this one.

It's a quick read and quite fun. Definitely something you might want to pick up to kill a night of boredom.
