Ark of Truth is the closing to the story arc of the final two seasons of the longest running science fiction television show in American History: Stargate Sg-1. It follows the main character, Daniel Jackson, to the "Holy Grail" of Ancient Technology.
While SG-1 commanders, Col. Carter and Col. Mitchell fight an evil infestation on board their ship the Odyssey, Dr. Jackson and friends locate the Ark of Truth: a piece of Ancient Technology which can turn the minds of those who peer inside away from all but the truth. The truth according to the Ancients only and so the dilema of whether to use such an object becomes a moral issue as it will brainwash anyone who looks in it. The fate of two galaxies hangs in the balance as Dr. Jackson deciphers the objects controls just in time to save his friends and the Ascended beings from certain domination by the crusading Orii!

Entertainment and philosophical discussion

The temptation of the Ascended Ancient Ganos Laal. She will sacrifice her soul,if needs be, to stop the Orii and save Daniel Jackson and his kind.

The political intrigue of this picture is a good way of showing the juxtaposition of opinion back on Earth. But once a decision is made I don't like that the "watch-dog" has so much freedom and ability to create so much havoc.

I wanted to view it again.

It's the absolute essential for Stargate fans after the end of the television show. But for those who may have never seen the show it's a fantastic, modern and massive introduction to the universe that is Stargate.

Though this DVD is downloadable I believe that does no justice whatsoever to the cast, crew, creators and writers who have worked so long under such adverse conditions to bring us such a special television show.
