Summary of this Book...
Detailed suggestions for effective scene writing, indexed by the scene's purpose and placement in the body of work, as well as theory on how best to transit from one scene to another. Examples are taken from a wide variety of authors, and most of their suggestions offer a least two examples from authors with different styles
This type of Book is good for...
Inexperienced authors who are just becoming serious about improving their writing.
I especially liked... | ||
The book was laid out in a way that it was easy for me to go right to sections I felt I needed help in.
I didn't like... | ||
Use this book as a tool not a blueprint or you'll give yourself a mental breakdown trying to formulate you writing.
I recommend this Book because...
It provided just enough structure to get me over some mental blocks that were casuing me to stall out part way through projects, and start writing complete stories.
Further Comments... | ||
I would suggest this for people who keep tring to get stories done and either never start or never finish. If that's not your problem then this book may be of limited use to you.
