Summary of this DVD... | ||
A highly contagious virus gets released throughout Britain. The virus turns the infected into psychopaths who either kill or infect other people. The infected have an aversion to sunlight. The movie centers around Jim, who wakes up from a coma 28 days after the virus has been released. And if I tell you anymore, I'll spoil the movie.
This type of DVD is good for...
People who aren't squeamish. This DVD has TONS of violence, gore, and cursing. (There is a scene of full-frontal nudity, but that lasts about 5 seconds.) It was really pushing the R rating.
I especially liked... | ||
I liked that it included some romance in it. The actors did a great job. I really felt the emotions and sympathized with the characters. This movie had a good plot. The violence isn't just random; it actually has to do with the story. In some cases, the violence helps to move the plot along. The graphics were superb. Overall, this movie deserves 5 stars.
When I finished viewing this DVD I wanted to...
board up my windows! 28 Days Later was really good at evoking emotions, so, yes, it did freak me out. Nightmares-no; not wanting to go downstairs by windows at night-yes. I enjoyed the movie, watched it again, and bought it. I recommend it to you!
This DVD made me feel...
I felt a little freaked out at the end of the movie. Like I said above, the movie was good at evoking emotions. However, the ending summed up the story. It didn't intentionally leave room for a sequel. I was satisfied with the happy ending.
The cast of this DVD... | ||
The actors did a great job. I must say that the lead character was pretty cute (Cillian Murphy).
I recommend this DVD because...
28 Days Later outlines an event that could actually happen. It has a good, strong plot with highly developed characters. It's scary, romantic, sweet, funny, and ironic all in one.
