Summary of this Book...
Five daughters who must marry rich and handsome men - that's what their mother wants, though. But none of them go towards this goal too well...it caused Mrs Bennet to suffer "spasms in my sides, and flutterings all over me!"
This type of Book is good for...
People who are easily prejudiced against certain people at first sight. Really.
I especially liked... | ||
The scene where Darcy proposed too rashly, and when Elizabeth burst into tears in front of him regarding 'stupid Lydia'.
I didn't like... | ||
I feel that Miss Austen could have told us more about Mary Bennet.
The author of this Book...
Jane Austen was born in 1775, and died in 1817. She wrote five other novels, and also some juvenilia, which I loved - they were mostly written in epistolary form.
I recommend this Book because...
It describes how people can change impressions over time with reasoning and equality in judging. After all, Miss Austen initially wanted to name this novel First Impressions.
I don't recommend this Book because...
if you can't stand reading long paragraphs without dialogue followed by lengthy dialogues without, then this book should be trying your nerves. Just don't cry like Mrs Bennet though!
