Summary of this Book...
Victor is many things, but above it all he is a med-school drop out, a sex-addict, and an employee of a reenactment colonial villiage. Oh – not to mention he believes he is the second-coming of Christ.

This, of course, is by the fault of his Alzheimer’s ridden mother who in her fit of ill-health begins to disclose to Victor (who she believes is her lawyer since she no longer recognizes Victor) about her pregnancy with Victor and the strange circumstance surrounding it. She gives her diary to him and tells him to make sure Victor knows who he really is. Victor, bewildered, dives into her diary to find it all in Italian. He befriends a doctor, Paige, who vows to help Victor find out if he really is Christ. This is all, of course, before he finds out that Paige, too is crazy.

Meanwhile, Victor attends sex-addict meetings and runs in to Palahniuk-esque situations that shed an honest light on the way people treat each other and just how easy it is to let a little heroism go to your head. The explicit descriptions and rather adult wording in this book make is not one for the kiddies at home. Palahniuk leads Victor through some of his most sexually graphic lines I’ve seen in any non-erotica novel.

And because he’s Chuck Palahniuk, he can get away with it.
This type of Book is good for...
anyone with a strong stomach who loves Palahniuk or grotesque main-charaters. Anyone looking for a good laugh and little insight into the honesty of human life.
I especially liked...
How Palahniuk holds nothing back.
I didn't like...
the ending wasn't as amazing as Palahniuk's "Invisible Monsters", but after a second and third reading, it begins to all make more sense.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
read it again for all the details I missed the first time.
The author of this Book...
is a writing god.
Further Comments...
A great addition to any Palahnuik collection. Skip "Lullaby", "Fight Club", and "Survivor". Dig in to "Choke" and "Invisible Monsters"!
