Alexandra Freemar moves into a flat in London for the summer and falls for her sexy upstairs neightbor, Alexander Black. While Alix(her nickname) is only looking for a brief fling, Alex is looking for something more profound and longer-lasting. Can she breathe life into this detective's personality without losing her heart to him?

Anyone who likes a humorous romance without a lot of depth. You'll find yourself snickering at the turn of every other page.

How Alix spoke without thinking. While she doesn't give the Brittish a favorable opinion of Americans, she is at least honest about her intentions.

How utterly selfish and shallow Alix was and how Alex hid the fact he'd been married and divorced from her. Also, Alix didn't like people who weren't slavishly devoted to her and only her own feelings.

Cheer. In the end, as in every romance novel, a chastened heroine(or hero) finds their true love and they presumably live happily ever after. MacAlister didn't disappoint here.

Well, I liked the hilarious situations that Alix brought upon herself. It's like watching a Warner Brothers cartoon: you wince when you see the character hurt, but can't resist watching.

If you don't like books without any real depth or character developement, then this book isn't for you.

After a while, MacAlister's books all seem alike because she uses the same slang in each one and all her lead female characters are carbon copies of eachother.
