Summary of this Book...
We all know the story of Robin Hood and his merry band of thieves, who rob the rich to feed the poor, of the plucky Maid Marian and the villianous Sheriff of Nottingham, but what if you took those characters away from the Age of the Crusades and plunked them down into eleventh-century Wales? Sounds a bit out there, but it works. Robin Hood is Bran ap Bryanch whose kingdom in Wales has been taken over by the greedy Norman conquerors. Left for dead and his people forced into slavery, Bran has to choose to stay and face mortal danger to become the king his people need or run away to uncertain safety.
This type of Book is good for...
Anyone that loves the Robin Hood legend and are interested in a new twist to the story.
I especially liked... | ||
How well the characters were written; though the hero of the story, Bran is far from perfect, yet I found myself wanting him to succeed anyway.
The author of this Book...
Is one of my favorite authors for celtic tales.
