Summary of this DVD... | ||
An amazing film based on the true story of eight sled dogs and their friendship with their guide, Jerry. When a terrible winter storm hits, the research team have to be flown out of Antarctica immediately. The dogs are left behind and are supposed to be picked up on a second trip to the research base, but the weather gets worse, making it impossible for anyone to fly out and collect them. A devastated Jerry will stop at nothing to get his beloved canine companions back, but as the days and eventually months pass there is little hope that the dogs survived. The dogs strength, courage and bond with Jerry keep them fighting for survival until he can get to them.

This is such a good movie, everyone should watch it. It's very inspirational, especially when you consider the fact that it's based on a true story.
I especially liked... | ||
The fact that the focus was mainly on the dogs and getting to them. Although there is a romance involved in the film, it doesn't take away from the main story line.
