Summary of this Book...
Norman Johnson was part of a hand selected team consisting of a biologist, a physicist, a mathematician and himself, a language expert. Their top secret mission would take them to the depths of the Pacific Ocean where an unknown craft was detected. What they would find there, buried beneath a solid coral sea bottom, would forever change their lives.
This type of Book is good for...
I would recommend this page turner of a book to anyone who has ever had an interest in either alien contact or just pure science fiction. Men, women and juveniles alike will love this well rounded story.
I especially liked... | ||
I really liked the way each member of their team made their own contribution and their contrasting traits made for excellent storytelling. There is a considerable amount of high-tech jargon which actually makes enough sense, that even the average person can easily understand.
I didn't like... | ||
There was nothing about this book I did not thoroughly enjoy.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
When I finished reading this book, I went right out and purchased another Michael Crichton novel, wondering to my self, I wonder just how many more of these are there?
This Book made me feel...
As with nearly all of Michael's books, there is a love interest, a hidden hero and always a spoiler. The love interest never realizes itself, it never does.
The author of this Book...
Michael actually goes to these locations where his books are written about, giving them a credibility unique to him. His writings span the rainbow of genres, from action, sci-fi, medical mysteries, alien encounters, government cover-ups and even sexual harassment in the workplace. I'm sure I've left a few out, so see for yourself!
I recommend this Book because...
I recommend reading this book because of it's ability to entice the reader into becoming an instant Crichton fan.
I don't recommend this Book because...
Any age person who can read, will surely find this wholly entertaining.
Further Comments... | ||
Michael's books are medium-short length to fairly large, yet none of them have a dull moment. His wry sense of humor at especially serious subjects is top-notch comedy and his, "can't ever seem to win" love life is sure to make an appearance in every book.
