Summary of this Book...
The story about the Five Hundred Kingdoms and a princess who makes a crucial difference in the end. In this story the people of Acadia deal with a dragon. They deal with this dragon with virgin sacrifices through a lottery drawing. The traditional path is set into motion and it is a path that is hard to break. A knight is sought to help the princess who becomes one of the lottery victims. In accordance with the tradition she is suppose to fall in love with this savior. The story leads to many twists in turns in which the princess Andeomedia must face.

People of all ages will enjoy reading this story. It has well character construction and a background setting that allows the reader to jump right into the story.
I especially liked...
I especially liked how a 'tradition' was brought into the story. One that is not seen but is known. This brought a very unique aspect to the story and kept me reading to see if the tradition could be broken.

As if I was in the kingdom myself, helping to find solutions to many of the problems they were dealing with.
The author of this Book...
Mercedes Lackey is a wonderful writer of Fantasy. She illustrates this book with well thought out characters and a background that engrosses the reader, yet does not have details that are boring.

I recommend this book because it is a nice relaxing read. The characters come alive for the reader and you are able to really feel what they are going through.
