This type of Book is good for...
I recommend this book for anyone interested in promoting early literacy but particularly parents. Reading this book to your children or grandchildren is one of the best ways you can not only interest them in poetry, but interest them in reading itself.
I especially liked... | ||
My favorite poem in the book is "The Swing" where Stevenson describes the "feel" of a swing with complete understanding and skill.
The author of this Book...
Robert Louis Stevenson, the author of Treasure Island and Kidnapped, was born in 1850 and died in 1894. His writings along with this book, place him at the top of my list for children's authors. His works are timeless and treasured.
I recommend this Book because...
I recommend this book because I believe that reading to children from infancy is one of the best things you can do to educate your children and interest them in the world around surrounding them. This book shares a camaraderie with children and opens their ears to poetry.
