Summary of this Book...
Delaney Wescott's agency is hired to protect actor Lucas Wayne after former lover Rina Cole enters his hotel room with a gun. From New York filming sessions to the relatively laid back home ground of Aspen, Colorado, Lucus comes across as a charmer, though Delaney seems almost immune to this good looking actor's charms. Delaney runs into an old flame while in Aspen, and flashbacks fill in layers of detail. Delaney Wescott is a professional woman, but she has feelings of wanting love like every woman. Having been burned by Jared once, will her co-worker and friend, Riley, keep her in touch with what's truly important in life?
This type of Book is good for...
leisurely reading. I enjoyed the author's descriptive detail, and her finesse in switching from one scene to the next. The novel is part mystery and part romance.
I especially liked... | ||
reading this book in large print. The large print copy has 477 pages, but is very easy on the eyes.
I didn't like... | ||
that when I was getting involved in the mystery part of the story, that's when the romantic sub-plot became more detailed.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
check out more books by Janet Dailey.
This Book made me feel...
that a woman is part work, part play, and many illusions of what is expected of her.
The author of this Book...

I recommend this Book because...
it's nice light reading. Part mystery and part romance give this novel a nice mix of flavor.
Further Comments... | ||
Leisurely reading for fun, or for an example of how to construct a very readable novel.
