Summary of this Book...
The Tellaxian Ambassador Neelix takes us through the Alpha, Beta, and Delta Quadrants in search of the right ingredients for the favored recipes of the crew members of the Starship Voyager. Here are the favored recipes of Captain Janeway, Seven of Nine, Kes, Commander Chakotay, and others.

And with the help of the ships vast computer information stores, he manages to pull up culinary favorites of Captain Kirk, Captain Picard, Ro Laren, Dr. Crusher, Jadzia Dax, Major Kira Nerys, and many others. Including, of course, Quark.

Then he gives us samples of the variety of food from the Klingon homeworld and the Delta Quadrant inhabitants/races and tops it all off with a sampling of recipes from his own lost homeworld, Talax.

But through it all, he manages to convert all of the odd ingredients to 21st century Earth equivilants so you can enjoy the recipes right in your own home.
This type of Book is good for...
If you enjoy any of the Star Trek series and wondered about the foods used, if you collect anything and everything Star Trek, if you are looking for foods of the stars (either of the Hollywood type or the galactic type), if you love to cook and try new things, this bood is for you.
I especially liked...
Ethan Phillips keeps his character of Neelix alive in the descriptions and narrations throughout this book. He tells of the ingrediants he had to substitue in the Delta Quadrant for many of the Earth foods that were not available to him on the other side of the galaxy. And the recipies really are quite delectable. Well, most of them at any rate. Borg Tricorder Pie doesn't translate so well for human comsumption but your trash compactor may be able to stomach it.
I didn't like...
Sometimes the actors step in and out of character.
