Sonea, one of many girls from the slums of Imardin, is once again caught in the yearly Purge, where the overcrowded city is ridden of the poor. They are cast out into the slums once more. Yet this time, when the magicians come to do their job, she joins those who revolt, throwing stones along with the rest of the crowds. But when her stone breaks through the magical shield that protects the magicians, she is sent into hiding, trying to escape her hunters, the Magicians' Guild. However, Sonea has no idea that the Guild is no trying to hurt her, but to ensure her own, and Imardin's, survival, trying to capture her before her powers are let loose, destroying everything in their path. | ||
