Summary of this Book...
This book contains two wonderfull stories in two different centuries. The first story based on the civil war is about a family that dies trying to reach each other in the Christmas eve. And the contemporary family is a disfunctional one. The wife is thinking on divorce but the husband wants to try to save their relationship one last time and sugests a Christmas Vacation. They went to this plantation and between their differences and attitudes almost demonstrate to their hosts how very disfunctional they really were. And on Christmas eve they learn that miracles still exists.
This type of Book is good for...
When you think that nothing could be worst than now you will recover your faith in miracles.
I especially liked... | ||
The way the author mixed both stories and at the end the Christmas Eve is the point where both stories became one.
I didn't like... | ||
I cried so much from the begining that I almost drop the book. But it was worth it.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Look forward to a miracle on Christmas Eve. Maybe I could receive my other half on that eve
The author of this Book...
Heather Graham writes also as Shanon Drake and Heather Graham Pozzessere. She is a great story teller. She wrote wonderfull stories about the US civil war and in most of them she try to unite confederates and rebels. Some books of her are: One wore blue, one wore gray and one rode west (3 books available in one book or by separate), Lion in Glory and much more.
I recommend this Book because...
As a Christmas reading it is very refreshing because it is not the tipical romance. Well, it is almost not romance but a story about how a disfunctional family became together on Christmas.
Further Comments... | ||
I had a lot of books about Christmas and as I'm running a contest of Unusual Romance (it would apply perfectly) I selected some of them I had not read yet and selected to do it before December 15, when I would read all the submisions.
