Summary of this Book...
Ellie and her friend now believe they won't outlive this war. Dropped into a scene where they don't want to be they decide to take advantage of there surroundings and destroy them. This could mean wiping out not only their enemy's but themselves as well... As the war gets stronger they realize that they're friends who have died have taught them something, they need to end the war and are now learning the meaning of life.
This type of Book is good for...
action junkies who love the adrenaline rush of a book. It's packed with awesome pictures and is like watching a movie in your head. If you don't like explosions, death and war or are easily disturbed than it's probably not a good book for you. But everyone else! Have a look and read away!
I especially liked... | ||
the characters and how they are maturing, realizing that they are most likely not going to live and that they want to make a difference. John Marsden is as wonderful forever and is pulling the readers in more and more. His writing is great and he is doing everything he can to make it wonderful. This book is filled with, not only war but romance, humour, death, horror and the meaning of life!
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
never stop reading. I never wanted the series to end and I'm very happy John Marsden is continuing with The Ellie chronicles. I love how whenever you read this book you begin to realize just how much we take our freedom for granted. It makes you want to go outside and run and not worry about anything in the world.
This Book made me feel...
It makes you feel utter sadness and anger and confusion. You're horribly sad from the invaders and angry because of the horrible situation these teens are faced with. And then you are confused because Ellie is confused and she points out things that no teenager should have to face.
The author of this Book...
is John Marsden. An Australian man who has written many successful titles such as Tomorrow, when the war began and the rest of the series. He has also written the Ellie chronicles, and new series for Tomorrow, when the War Began Fans. Among these works he's published such books as So Much to Tell You, Staying Alive In Year Five, Letters from the inside, Out Of Time and many other wonderful stories. I especially recommend Winter and Checkers. His website is www.JohnMarsden.com
I recommend this Book because...
as the fifth book in the series john Marsden has proven that he can still write! It's even more action packed than before and its contents are better than ever! It's definitely worth the read!
Further Comments... | ||
