Summary of this Book...
A heartfelt story of five friends and their struggle with their everyday lives. Set through 3 decades, the members of The Angry Housewives Eating BonBons bookclub survive war, divorce, childbirth, abuse, and so much more. Lighthearted but poignant, this book is hard to put down.
This type of Book is good for...
Anyone who wants a book that's heartwarming and yet funny. It's a good book to share with friends and good if you want a good cry too.
I especially liked... | ||
The way the author builds upon the characters in their lives and friendships, and the point-of-view it's written in. Each chapter is a book selection made by one of the members of the bookclub.
I didn't like... | ||
Don't read this book if you have a major problem with cliches. There are a few, but it is to be expected with the time period it is set and the things experienced by the characters.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Read it again! | ||
This Book made me feel...
lke hugging my friend. it made me laugh til I cried, and cry til I laughed.
The author of this Book...
has a very good sense of the history that the characters experience as their everyday lives, and uses that in a way that makes the characters and plot enjoyable and not tiring.
I recommend this Book because...
i's not only well written, but a good-feeling book that you just wanna share!
Further Comments... | ||
Seriously, this may seem like a "man-hating" or "chick" book, but don't judge it by it's title/cover. I was completely surprised by it and loved it all the way through.
