Luciana, a Romani living in Tyrrhia, learns that her sister Alessandra has died while living at court. To make matters worse, Alessandra's body has been stolen - something sacreligious to the Romani. This book is the journy which Luciana takes to help free her sister's soul from the clutches of a dark magician secretly residing in the court.

People who enjoy reading fantasy, but are growing tired of the same old "Sword and Magic" tales.

The pacing and the lack of typical "action" sections. Most fantasy novels rely on their depiction of battles and magic to keep them moving. This book manages to draw a reader in while only having about 6 total pages of actual "battles".

The confusion that arose due to some vauge descriptions about events. Sometimes scenes were hard to follow because of pronoun confusion or lack of proper description.

Jump into the book and console Luciana

Somewhat uplifted and also somewhat sad. The end made me cry.

Shows great potential and I can't wait to read the rest of the series. She also has managed to create a very realistic historical fiction using her own knowledge.

It's so different from any other fantasy novel.

It relies heavily on court intrigue to keep it's plot moving, which can be boring to many fantasy readers.
