Summary of this Book...
This book is about a man who feels that he's being lied to somehow, that there's something no one's telling him, but he doesn't know what it is. He goes to Ishmael to find out, though he doesn't know what he's going to learn.
This type of Book is good for...
Someone looking for a new philosophy, or someone simply wanting to become more aware of their surroundings. There are things you hear every day, but you can't know they're there, until you've heard what Ishmael has to say, because you wouldn't know what to listen for.
I especially liked... | ||
The philosophy behind it. It doesn't have a name, it probably isn't mainstream, but it's there, and it needs adknowledgement. I'll refer to it as "Leaverism".
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Change my life, change those around me, and change the world.
This Book made me feel...
Happy, sad, enlightened, and betrayed all in one.
The author of this Book...
Is a very intelligent person with an idea that needs publicity.
I recommend this Book because...
It's the way out. We're digging ourselves into a huge hole in the Earth, and the author is giving us his hand one last time before we've gone too deep to climb back out.
Further Comments... | ||
Leaverism is what the world should be about. Leaverism teaches that we are as every other creature on Earth, and we need to realize that. Leaverism teaches not to feel the need to one-up the Gods, to take our lives out of their hands. Finally, Leaverism teaches that there is no one true way of life. There is only life, however it is to be lived.
