Summary of this Book...
Intense is the word for Ender's Game. Aliens have attacked Earth twice and almost destroyed the human species. To make sure humans win the next encounter, the world government has taken to breeding military geniuses -- and then training them in the arts of war... The early training, not surprisingly, takes the form of 'games'... Ender Wiggin is a genius among geniuses; he wins all the games... He is smart enough to know that time is running out. But is he smart enough to save the planet? -New York Times
This type of Book is good for...
I think everybody. As long as the only type of book you like isn't romance then I think you'll really enjoy it. The Ender's series is full of philosophy about both human nature and religion. This book is absolutely amazing.
I especially liked... | ||
Card's insights into the characters.
I didn't like... | ||
I loved everything. It picked up right from the beginning and it was impossible to put down.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
run out and get "Speaker for the Dead," the next book in the series (there are four books). I couldn't wait to read more about Ender or anything else of Card's.
The author of this Book...
is awesome. I've read one other book of his not related to the Ender series ("Sarah") and it was just as good. I can't wait to finish Ender and start in on some of his others.
I recommend this Book because...
It's a really great book and I don't know anybody who's read it and not loved it. Even people who hate reading loved this book.
Further Comments... | ||
You'd be crazy not to check this out. I LOVED it. It has got to be one of my all time favorites now. It's definately worth the read.
