Summary of this Book...
Here is a summary as given on the back of the book:

Charlie Gordon is about to embark upon an unprecedented journey. Born with an unusually low IQ, he has been chosen as the perfect subject for an experimental surgery that researchers hope will increase his intelligence -a procedure that has been highly successful when tested on a lab mouse named Algernon.

As the treatment takes effect, Charlie's intelligence expands until it surpasses that of the doctors who engineered his metamorphosis. The experiment appears to be a scientific breakthrough of paramount importance, until Algernon suddenly deteriorates. Will the same happen to Charlie?
This type of Book is good for...
Anyone who is interested in reading a realistic, yet completely enthralling story. Whether you are interested in learning more about science, exploring the human mind, or feeling what it's like to experience life and have it taken away, this book is a must for anyone attempting to read a compilation of the best books available in today's literary world.
I especially liked...
Seeing the growth and struggles, both mentally and emotionally, in the story's main character, Charlie Gordon. I like the fact that this book keeps you wanting more. It is definitely a page turner, and I have a feeling most will feel a sense of sadness once they have finished reading all 311 amazingly, wonderful pages.
I didn't like...
Spoiler: The ending is sad and is the only part I don't like (but that's only because I became attached to the characters -mostly Charlie and Algernon).

Also, there are some actions taken by characters in the books that you may not agree with, but in the end, you come to realize that these actions show the flaws and human side to this story's extraordinary characters.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Become a scientist and find a cure for all the people like Charlie. This book made me want to make a difference in the world. It also inspired me to get online and write a product review, so that others could get the chance to read this fantastic novel.
This Book made me feel...
Many different emotions. It made me laugh, it made me smile, it made me cry, and at times, it made me get so involved with the characters, that I became enraged when they were upset or torn apart when they were in pain. This book made me feel the way a book should make you feel: involved.
The author of this Book...
Daniel Keyes.
I recommend this Book because...
It will change your life. It will get you to think, and it will get you to feel things you maybe never thought you would feel.
I don't recommend this Book because...
There are no reasons to not recommend this book. The only drawback is that the author is writing from a male perspective and includes some details that female readers may not appreciate so much. Aside from that, Daniel Keyes has created a masterpiece that shouldn't be kept from anyone.
Further Comments...
Even if you're not sure you want to read this book, I encourage you to check it out. I have a feeling if you pick it up and start to read the first few pages...well, you just won't be able to put it back down.
